West Virginia is supposed to bulldoze more than 6000 acres of homes, farms, fields and forests to build a power line for Loudoun County's data centers.
We also get the privilege of paying for the line. And our electric bills will go up.
These are indisputable facts.

JEFFERSON COUNTY IS SACRED GROUND
Jefferson County has sacrificed enough!
Loudoun County can bulldoze their own land and build their own power plant.
Our farms, homes, history and future must not be sacrificed for Loudoun County’s data centers!
Jefferson County is one of America’s most historic jurisdictions. The history of this nation was shaped by events in our communities. Our ancestors fought with George Washington in the Revolution. The Civil War touched every inch of our county. And nearly 80 members of Washington’s family are buried in Charles Town.
Our county is not empty space on a planning map. To reduce our communities to right-of-ways for a massive powerline is an insult to the families who live here today and everyone that came before.
In the year when we are celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we should be honoring and protecting Jefferson County, not carving it up to make life easier for data centers in Loudoun County.
